What do I need to bring to my first visit?
Please bring any imaging reports (i.e. x-rays, MRI, CT) and any records from previous doctors relating to your pain condition. We accept the following insurance plans: Aetna, Highmark, Medicare, Cigna, United Healthcare, and Worker's Compensation / Auto Claims. Co-Pay is due at the time of visit.
When should I seek help from my pain?
Each individual experiences pain in a different way, it is important not to measure your own level of pain against that of others, but evaluate your personal level of pain. If you are experiencing any of the following, it may be a good idea to schedule a consultation:
- Pain that lasts longer than 4-6 weeks following an injury or illness
- When you are experiencing pain and can not determine the source
- Insomnia or the inability to sleep due to pain
- Muscle pain and/or stiffness lasting longer than normal
How do I arrange to be seen at the Pain Control Center of Pittsburgh?
You can contact us by phone or online to schedule a consultation. Please note, that if you schedule online, your appointment is not confirmed until we call you. We will need your records prior to your visit.
Will I be pain-free?
Our goal at Pain Control Center of Pittsburgh is to alleviate as much pain as much as possible, maximize your level of functioning, and increase your quality of life. During your initial consultation, the treatment plan will be discussed.
Will the Pain Management Center physicians write my pain medication prescriptions?
How do I sign up for Medical Marijuana?
You will need to register at medicalmarijuana.pa.gov prior to your visit. Evaluations are $200 due at the time of visit. Medical Marijuana is not covered by any insurance plans at this time.
